Honestly! our videos are a treasure for the x-plane community, I have a little question, is it really possible to develop an aircraft without spending time on modeling inside plane maker and instead of that use only blender?

loved to see how these steps would apply for helicopters, where the rotors generate the thrust while the engine has no actual meaning of thrust but is made to handle the rotation of the rotors. planemaker's tabs makes things a bit unclear in that regard.

Excellent video. I am building an f-35 simulator cockpit. The F35 as a full width class screen with every thing on it. I am putting in a 9x16 or 6 x 21 monitor for the instrument panel. Question 1. In x-plane, is there a way to model this panel with the interactivity to change it with touch screen. Question 2. I can turn the instrument panel off in my main screen. Is there a way to assign the 2D instrument panel to this separate monitor I am using for my panel. Thanks. Wayne

Some things have changed but really, most things have not changed, and this is still really useful knowledge in 2022. Blender ui has changed sure, but your points about normals, and what you're doing are still 100% what is needed to make aircraft cockpits in 2022 in xplane 11.55.
